This mug is a functional sculpture, inspired by the beautiful geodes and crystal formations found in nature. Hand glazed, I threw this mug on the wheel and applied my hand carved crystals and accented it in 22k gold. I hand painted the body of the mug in shades of purple, reminiscent of striated crystals. I glazed the gray area on this mug a dark gray, representing the rough exterior of the geode. 

Holds approximately 12-14 oz. One of a kind.
