This planter or small vase is a functional sculpture, inspired by the beautiful geodes and crystal formations found in nature. Glazed in contrasting textures, I threw this vase on the wheel and applied my hand carved crystals and accented it in 22k gold. The gray area on this mug is matte representing the rough exterior of the geode. One of a kind.
