These mugs are functional sculptures, inspired by the beautiful geodes and crystal formations found in nature. Glazed in contrasting textures, I threw these mug on the wheel and applied my hand carved crystals and geodes, and accented them in 22k gold. The gray area on these mugs is matte representing the rough exterior of the geode.
